jNetX Middleware Attains JAIN SLEE 1.0 Compliance

Achievement Helps Propel Programmable IN Toward Widespread Acceptance, Use

RICHARDSON, TX (Jan. 31, 2005) – jNetX, Inc. announced today that its network transformation middleware has achieved JAIN SLEE 1.0 compliance—making the company only the second in the telecom industry to reach that significant milestone.

JAIN SLEE 1.0 has been established as the industry standard to ensure interoperability between one company’s Java container and another’s. Attaining JAIN SLEE 1.0 compliance means jNetX’s middleware has been demonstrated to meet that standard.

“Now that two separate JAIN SLEE middleware products have met industry standards, carriers and service providers can be assured that any new applications they develop using one vendor’s programmable IN will run equally well on the other’s,” said Tom Martinson, jNetX CEO. “This is a major step toward validating JAIN SLEE technology as the future of converged network development and evolution.

“In fact, a wireless communications application has already been successfully ported from one developer’s Java container to another’s,” Martinson added. “The technology works, and can save carriers and service providers enormous time and resources.”
