jNetX is looking for a self motivated person to provide the following:
Scope of position:
This position requires a well rounded individual having solid experience in the delivery of IT projects in a Telecom environment. The ideal candidate would have development and technical support skills, predominantly in JAVA development in a UNIX environment, with sound knowledge of hardware architecture and Operating System technology.
Required skills:
Mandatory:
- The candidate must demonstrate extensive experience in Java Programming / Object oriented technologies, with knowledge of Java multi-thread development, with real time systems;
- An ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems with experience in performance tuning of Java technology based applications is desirable;
- A good understanding of the Service Creation Environment with knowledge of Eclipse would be a definite benefit;
- The role also requires experience in database development and integration, especially Oracle, TimesTen, SQLServer, MySQL, LDAP and DB provisioning;
- A thorough knowledge and experience of IN inter-working, the INAP CS1/2 protocol and CAP versions and especially as this relates to charging is required;
- A good understanding of MAP would also be beneficial;
- The Field Consultant will be required to support the delivery of the IT Telecoms Application Server and therefore a sound knowledge of CS networks, predominantly mobile, is required. The main focus is on call set up and mobility;
Beneficial:
- Ideally the candidate will possess a good grasp of Web based protocols particularly having experience with:
- Web Services, SOAP/XML, HTTP, JBOSS, Web Servers [eg Apache] especially in a clustered, load-balancing high availability environment.
- Any solid experience in IT Enterprise development with the following protocols would be beneficial:
- J2EE, EJB JSF, Spring, Hibernate, JMS, JTA
- Tuxedo (C++), CORBA, SOAP,XML, Parlay [X] RPC etc
- With the evolution of Telecoms networks to IP, knowledge of SIP and SIP mobility – VCC and IMS/CS roaming would be a bonus, especially an understanding of the basic call-flows, Register and MO and MT calls.
Principle Responsibilities and Duties:
The Field Consultant, having detailed technical knowledge and experience will be the primary source of technical support in the pre-sales activities. The FC will be required to provide input for RFQ and Tender responses. In addition there will be a requirement to support customer presentations and other pre-sales activities and therefore the candidate must be comfortable in customer liaison and presentation.
In addition the FC will be required to:
- Train jNetX Partners on the product
- Technical Requirements Analysis (Data and Call Flows)
- Scope project deliverables and advise on project implementation
- Technical Documentation of the Software
- Trials and Proof Of Concept deliveries
- Support on IN and IMS deployments
