 jNetX’ 100+ Apps Catalogue

jNetX is pleased to present its 100+ Apps Catalogue which describes a wide range of revenue generating network services. This catalogue is an initiative from the jNetX Developer Network Area (DNA), a rich developer community bringing open, Java innovation into the network.

There is a clear trend to move away from slow-to-market Intelligent Network platforms and vendor lock-in business models, to open, programmable service infrastructure supporting a competitive ecosystem of service development partners.

jNetX’ technology and business model allow operators to launch new services at a significantly reduced time and cost. That is why leading global communications providers are turning to jNetX to unlock their 2G and IP networks for richer service delivery.

This catalogue is a dynamic tool for the Network and Marketing Departments of Operators, updated every quarter with new revenue generating applications. This tool enables jNetX customers to differentiate in a competitive market, to grow their subscriber base by exploring new niche markets and to improve subscriber satisfaction.

The Catalogue intends to:

  • Act as a tool for operators to develop new ideas and market strategies
This catalogue shall be used by Network Operators’ Marketing Departments as a source of ideas for service innovation, market differentiation and identification of unexploited new revenue streams generated by addressing market niches (fine-grained segmentation).
  • Help jNetX partners focus on delivering applications linked to real business opportunities
  • Present commercial applications running on jNetX and to highlight the related benefits operators get by adopting open technologies

This catalogue describes many network-based applications running on the jNetX environment, associated with business case simulations. It helps operators to understand the benefits of introducing an open, horizontal and convergent technology rather than multiple silos. Some applications mentioned in this document, taken individually, do not have a business case able to justify the introduction of a new platform. Nevertheless the revenue generated by bundling two, or four, or ten of those applications, all running into the same platform, could easily justify such new investment.
