  • Overview: The current market environment has accelerated the need for service providers to find a way to efficiently and cost-effectively deliver new services while maximizing their revenues from existing voice and messaging applications. Ongoing network evolution from existing to new networks and the associated application connectivity and network interworking challenges will only increase in complexity going forward. Today, there are a variety of ad-hoc approaches to solve the application connectivity problem. These include NGN service delivery platforms, NGN architecture, and IP enabling IN applications. However these can be costly, have long deployment timeframes, and do not address service providers' traditional voice and messaging service environments, which are based on proprietary and inflexible technology. Speakers from the Service Broker Forum will present a purpose-built network element, the Service Broker that enables service providers to exploit their existing service assets and networks to transition subscribers to new infrastructure/services and introduce new NG applications to their vast subscriber bases.
